Need More Time

I love my card, with it I have earned many miles with Delta. Now I just wish I had more time and money so I could go somewhere warm and tropical with those plane tickets.

I do not like paying a fee for a credit card. The website is harder to get around than most and the rewards are not that great.

    Great Disappointment

    A Short time ago I would have rated 5 stars for this account. Even though I have had this card and predecessors to it for more than 20 years, and have always kept it in good standing, I was shocked to be notified that my credit limit had been lowered to within $100 of existing balance, which essentially meant I could not use the card. Also, without notice, the interest rate was raised to an unacceptable %. This came at a particularly bad time for me since I am recovering from lymphoma and have been relying on my available credit and exceptional credit rating to carry me through till all my medical bills are taken care of and I restart my consulting business.

    When I booked a flight you would not assign me a seat. You said I was not a premium card member and could be bumped How much do you have to spend a month to not get bumped? How do I become a premium member. I have the AmX business gold card

    Not worthless, but close...

    I would advise against this card. It does not afford you the opportunity to accumulate Medallion Qualification Miles, only bonus miles. In addition, if you make the mistake of acutually signing up for this card, as I did, you cannot upgrade to a Platinum or Reserve card for the same promotional benefits as everyone else, and when you subtract that out of the equation, there is NO reason to give AMEX more money in annual fees for no additional benefit. The Gold card is very close to worthless.
