The only card to own

I have been a cardholder since 1974 and over the years I have owned several other cards but I only have mu American Express Platinum card and a bank debit card. In the few instances where I have had an issue with a charge, American Express has handled it quickly with no problems. I love the fact that I don't have to worry about a preset spending limit. They trust my personal spending descression andif an emergency arises, it is covered with my American Express Card. I honestly believe it is the only card to carry. I could not be happier.

    Airport Clubs

    As a frequent traveler to IAH Airport in Houston, TX, I am very disappointed with the Business Platinum Card Program not having any associated club at the airport. There are a least five clubs, but non of them honor AMEX or Priority Pass. Cancelling the agreement with Continental/United Airline is a big business mistake. A lot of my friends and colleagues who carry the Platinum Card started showing frustrations with the Card since the termination of the agreement with Untied Airline. As a businessman, I would not offer a benefit then take it away; I would rather either not offer it at all, or expand on more benefits. Not to mention that my annual fees jumped from $395 to $450. Something need to be done soon!!!

    The Only Stimulus

    Having the Open and platinun cards trough the the 2008 recession was the only Stimulus or efficient tool that keep me going as an small business owner. Even tough 100 million credit cards were closed during this period Amex took the risk of having us( small business) with open credit. This company has the right products and a clear advantage over all credit cards out there.

    Disgusted

    After having been a card member since 1998, my account was suspended for using my card at a business that I own a small percentage. A legitimate charge. Instead of calling me in advance, inquiring about the charge, AMEX suspends ALL accounts. While I do appreciate and understand what happened, it did not rise to that level in my mind and was a ridiculous response to my account. I have always been an AmEx fan. Love them, until today. I have one word, disgusted. Were they nice, yes, professional, yes. Did they overreact and make a bad judgement call on this YES. 14 years and this is the response. Wow.

    I don't use the features and question the value of spending $450. I did not find the airport club feature of ant value. Did not work for Continental airlines.

    AMAZING CARD

    There are so many features, benefits and rewards that I haven't used, but the ones that I have, I have really enjoyed. I have enjoy the security features buying online and insuring my packages when shipped. Concerge is amazing. They will do just about anything for me. I also enjoy shopping with my rewards points. It's how I purchased my iPad and all my office electronics. I truly love my Amex Card. Can't wait for my next business trip so I can finally visit the executive lounges offered to Amex Business Plantinum Members.
