The Platinum card does not deliver the services or benefits as advertized and as described. There are too many restrictions not reasonably disclosed with the rest of the card information. One cannot contact a live person within a reasonable time. My last contact on February 18, 2012 with a supervisor showed me that customer service is not designed to solve customer problems, rather designed just to attempt to act concerned but with no real ability to meet customer needs.

The "service" and card stinks! I called when I was out of the country 8 times. Each time I was told I was in the wrong department! Each time they would "transfer me and disconnect". I was originally connected to Tuscon, then Phoenix, then Denver, then Canada. Based on this experience and not EVER having been sent a Priority Pass when I upgraded to platinum but was told in St. Maarten, I could NOT go into the lounge with a priority pass card I was Never sent but called and received 2 weeks later after I got home, I consider the card useless and doubt I will renew when renewal comes up.

I should spend close to a million on my card this year.My bill is always paid early.Yet it is the only card I use that has a fee associated with it.

wish the card benefits would be better with more every day use.

One of the main reasons I upgraded to Platinum was access to various lounges when I travel. It is a significant loss to not have United participating domestically. Further, some of the Priority Pass lounges are not up to Amex standards (for example customer service was low at the Belgium airport for instance). Also the Amex website listing for airports that participated was not accurate - I ended up spending a lot of time wandering around the airport in search of a lounge that didn't exist anymore.Amex customer service rep on the phone was helpful and did his best - but ultimately couldn't help me. Not a deal breaker as other benefits more than pay for the card, but not a pleased with this feature as I had hoped to be.

My feelings about this card are conflicted.On the negative side I'm unimpressed with the concierge and travel options. The concierge has never been able to fulfill most basic requests that I have. The booking prices for travel through the Amex program are always more expensive for me than what I can find on my own. The supposed "special rates" for Hertz rentals cars and other things just don't exist -- you use the Amex code but the rates are the same as everyone else (I checked).On the positive side, I am very pleased with the actual customer support representatives. For every issue I've ever had they have exceeded my expectations and always given me the impression they really want to help. Amex really shines here. I also eat up the $200 airline incidentals rebate with no problem every year which almost cuts the annual membership fee in half. I'm also pleased with the Pay Over Time option, which has eased some cashflow issues for my business in the past.

For business ownerners this card gives you the most compared to visa, mastercard etc. plus you get great service.

The American Express Business Platinum Card has been essential to our business. This card has helped us tremendously in growing our business by covering many of the expenses required for our operations.

By far the best card that stays in my wallet, customer service is excellent, the card is fantastic, and dont get me started on the reward points program. I use this card for all the purchases and monthly recurring bills allowed for it. I have no idea how to make this card better simply because the card is perfect.

Would prefer to heve more benefits by getting Centurion Card.Thank you.Mikhail
